In the Hoofprints of a Legend: Oguri Cap’s Story on Display

As you enter the venue, you are greeted by a special voice exchange between Oguri Cap (voiced by Tomoyo Takayanagi) and Tamamo Cross (voiced by Naomi Ozora). While the dialogue serves as a guide outlining important viewing precautions, it is more than just an announcement: it is full of personality and charm that fans of the series will appreciate.

Be sure to also access the exclusive smartphone content via the QR code provided at the entrance. Through this special page, Oguri Cap and Tamamo Cross reflect on key moments from the story at various points throughout the exhibition. If you are visiting in person, do not forget to scan the code so you can fully enjoy this additional layer of the experience.

In the Memorial Walk area, visitors are welcomed by character portraits lining the space, while the floor beneath is covered in artificial grass: a thoughtful touch that evokes the feeling of standing trackside. Surrounded by these displays, it is easy to imagine the racetrack where the Umamusume run, gradually drawing you deeper into the world of the series.

The exhibition then moves into a chronological retrospective of the story, revisiting key moments from both the first and second seasons. From Oguri Cap’s beginnings in the countryside of Kasamatsu to her rise to the grand stage of the Twinkle Series, the journey is brought to life through original genga artwork and commentary. Along the way, visitors can also stop by a corner featuring the "Kasamatsu Ondo" folk song, a nostalgic highlight that adds even more local color to the experience.

Throughout the venue, there are areas that recreate iconic scenes from the series, alongside displays featuring carefully reproduced props and memorable items from the story. One highlight is the enormous plate of croquettes Oguri Cap famously devours, piled so high that the sheer volume is overwhelming at first glance.

There is also a display featuring a mannequin that recreates Oguri Cap’s distinctive forward-leaning running form. Seeing it up close, you can truly appreciate just how deeply she leans into her stride, capturing the intensity of her racing style. Nearby, Oguri Cap and Tamamo Cross’s racing uniforms are also on display. Be sure to take your time exploring this area to fully enjoy the detailed recreations.

A starting gate, modeled after the ones the Umamusume enter before a race, has also been set up inside the venue. Visitors can actually step inside and take commemorative photos, making it a fun spot to check out, especially if you are attending with friends.

As you move through the exhibition, there is also a corner where a special video plays along the walkway. Designed to feel as though you are following in Oguri Cap’s hoofprints, the clip was reportedly edited specifically for this event. It even features newly recorded voice lines, so be sure to watch if you are visiting in person.

Sales Corner: From Staple Merch to Unique Pieces

The merchandise corner features a wide selection of goods, not only highlighting Oguri Cap and Tamamo Cross, but also other Umamusume who appear in the anime Umamusume: Cinderella Gray.

In addition to staple items such as acrylic stands and clear files, the lineup also includes some more distinctive pieces. Among them are keychains modeled after headbands with the signature ears of Oguri Cap and Tamamo Cross.

In addition, shoppers will receive one tabloid-style sticker for every 2,000 yen (tax included) spent per transaction as a purchase bonus. Please note that merchandise is limited to three items per product per person. If you was to earn multiple stickers, it may be worth collecting a variety of items.

This concludes our photo report on the "Umamusume: Cinderella Gray EXHIBITION – The Monster's Hoofprints Exhibition." The Tokyo exhibition will run until Monday, March 2, 2026 (JST), so fans still have time to visit and experience it for themselves.

An Osaka venue is also scheduled to open on Friday, April 3 (JST). If you are unable to make it to the Tokyo event, this will be another great opportunity to step into the world of Cinderella Gray.
