ANNOUNCING PARTNERSHIP WITH GLOBAL-E (04/17/2025)

Thank you for supporting animate International. 

To provide you with a quicker and smoother payment and delivery experience, we're introducing a new system that allows you to pay in your local currency with all duties and fees calculated even prepaid upfront in checkout. This ensures full transparency and helps avoid unexpected costs at the time of delivery; especially in light of recent tariff updates announced by the United States. 

In order to provide this service for our customers, we have partnered with Global-e. Global-e is a specialized international e-commerce service that will process your payments when shopping at animate international. Global-e will manage filing the required taxes and fees charged by your local authorities for you.

We hope you look forward to a smoother and more transparent experience shopping at animate International.

■When will the changes take effect?

■What changes will take effect with the Global-e partnership? 

• Increased local payment options. 
• International shipping fees will be calculated using Global-e's exclusive logic.
• Duties and taxes will be calculated automatically at checkout. 
  *This applies to orders placed after the Global-e update. For orders placed before the update, any duties and taxes applied to your package at entry must be paid during delivery.

UPCOMING CHANGES TO SHIPPING OPTIONS (09/17/2024)

Starting from October 1, 2024 (JST), our shipping options will see some changes. Please take note of the following in advance:

EMS:

We will discontinue the option to ship orders via EMS. EMS orders confirmed before October 1 will be shipped via EMS as usual. However, EMS will not be available for new orders after October 1.

DHL:

Due to new fees imposed by DHL, our DHL shipping rates will be revised starting from October 1, 2024 (JST). Orders confirmed before this date will honor the shipping fee charged at checkout. However, please note that if shipping needs to be re-invoiced (eg. re-sending returned package, re-calculating shipping after editing the content of an order, etc.), the new shipping rate will apply.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, and hope for your understanding and continued support.

INTERNATIONAL CONFLICT: SOME SHIPPING METHODS/LOCATIONS RESTRICTED (03/14/2025)

Due to recent international conflict, DHL is currently not accepting packages bound for the following countries/regions:

• Ukraine *Some regions.
• Russia
• Belarus

If you have an existing order that cannot be shipped due to the above, we will contact you with further options. We hope for your understanding and patience until further notice.
