Once upon a time, there was a mermaid princess who vanished into sea foam after falling in love with a human—a love that was forbidden.

Now, more than 200 years later, she is reborn as a human on the shores of Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture, determined to find her one true love at last.

Long ago, there lived a mermaid princess named Lara.

Beloved by her father, the King of the Sea, and cherished by her older sisters, Lara spent her days happily beneath the waves.

One day, however, she fell in love with a human prince.

It was a forbidden love—one that could never be accepted in the world of merfolk.

Despite this, Lara chose to journey to the surface. After drinking a magical potion given to her by the witch Grace, she transformed into a human.

But the potion came with a terrible curse:

If she failed to find her true love, she would disappear, dissolving into sea foam.

Though born a mermaid princess, Lara longed for a life with the one she loved.

Yet her wish was never fulfilled, and she vanished into the sea as nothing more than bubbles.

Then, 200 years passed.

Across the centuries, Princess Lala is reborn at Lake Biwa.

This time, she is determined to find her one true love.
