They couldn't become heroes... but they still want to save people! Tune in to a realistic coming-of-age story about vigilante heroes! Kohei Horikoshi's "My Hero Academia" was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump for ten years, exploding in popularity worldwide. Now, the MHA official spin-off series "My Hero Academia: Vigilantes" is finally getting an anime adaptation! The original Shonen Jump+ manga, written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court, tells a story that takes place several years before the events of "My Hero Academia"...! It's an age of superhumans, when about 80% of the world's population has superpowers. A world of chaos, where chosen pro heroes protect the people from accidents, natural disasters, and villains who abuse their "quirks." On the other side, there are some who weren't "chosen," but cannot stand by while people are getting hurt. This is the story of those vigilante heroes who operate outside of the law.
≪Story≫
Koichi Haimawari is a dull college student who aspires to be a hero but has given up on his dream. However, he works hard at a secret hobby: roaming the streets in All Might cosplay, pretending to be a pro hero and helping people in need.
Koichi's ordinary life is changed forever when he meets Pop☆Step, a self-proclaimed idol doing street performances without a permit, and Knuckleduster, a mysterious masked man who introduces himself as a "janitor" who's job it is to "take out the trash," and gets pulled into the world of vigilantes.
They go outside the law to save people: are they criminals disrupting the order? Or are they the righteous neighborhood watch? The curtain raises on "Vigilantes," a story of illegal heroes!
