The practice match with the neighborhood volleyball association is underway and Asahi starts to show why he is called the "Ace".
Hinata marvels at Asahi's power, height, and strength...everything that he feels he lacks. Kageyama, noticing Hinata is not paying attention, takes an unexpected action to make him concentrate on the match at hand.

The match between Kurasuno High and Nekoma High begins.
Karasuno, with their ace and libero back in the lineup, dominated the game in the beginning with the quick attack of the Hinata/Kageyama duo.
