Announcing the second installment of the "LUPIN THE IIIRD" series, a reboot based on the original "Lupin the Third" that follows the story of the young Lupin!

"LUPIN THE IIIRD: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone" caused waves when it debuted in cinemas in the summer of 2014. Focusing on top gunman Daisuke Jigen, it told the hard-boiled tale loaded with pizzazz of how he battled a formidable foe and finally partnered up with Lupin. The hard and dangerous atmosphere and bitter humor is even sharper in this new film, "LUPIN THE IIIRD: The Blood Spray of Goemon Ishikawa."

Our protagonist is Ishikawa Goemon. Having been involved in the death of his employer, a yakuza boss, Goemon is branded with the dishonor of being a traitor by the gang. In order to clear his name, he must challenge the overwhelmingly strong killer with his own sword! His young blood boiling, Goemon kills and kills and kills, and at the end of this deathly struggle, sprayed with blood, he...

...awakens, as Master Swordsman Goemon. Witness for yourself the first time Goemon and young Lupin meet!

Japan. On a gambling ship travelling through the ocean by Izu, a young bodyguard named Goemon rescues a yakuza boss from an attack. However, when ship is severely damaged by a huge explosion, the boss loses his life. The culprit behind the explosion was an enormous axe-wielding man. Goemon tries to chase him, but he gets away. Meanwhile, Lupin the Third, Daisuke Jigen and Fujiko Mine, who just successfully robbed the gambling ship, witness the scene from their own boat.

That giant man is known as “the Ghost of Bermuda."

Once upon a time, he was a soldier codenamed "Hawk" who slaughtered 2,000 people on the battlefield. Why is he in Japan? The Public Security Intelligence Agency's Inspector Zenigata sets out to bring Hawk down. And, needing to clear the disgrace of having been branded a traitor at the funeral of the yakuza boss, so does Goemon.

Around then, in a hideout in the mountains of Izu, Lupin and his friends are drinking a toast to their new riches, when all of a sudden, Hawk appears!

Hawk's goal is to execute Lupin, Jigen and Fujiko.

Lupin and his friends escape the hideout in their car while Hawk on his bike gives furious chase. And then, a humongous tree trunk comes barreling down! On top of it stands Goemon, here as Hawk's sworn enemy.

"No assistance necessary!" Goemon declares, and the battle to the death begins.
