From the anime based on the battleship raising browser game comes KanColle: The Movie. It began its long theatrical run in November 2016, and now it is finally coming to Blu-ray and DVD!

★KanColle: The Movie began screening 26 November, and its massive run lasted through the new year up until the end of March. On the first day, greetings from the cast members who voiced the kanmusu fleet girls were broadcast to all cinemas across the country via live relay! It was a huge success! In February, special screenings in 4DX and MX4D also began. By the final screening at the end of March, KanColle: The Movie made over 560 million yen at the box office.

★The "16-shiki" theatrical version is of course included - but these Blu-ray and DVD releases also come with a re-cut and freshly edited 2017 version in the same package: an exclusive bonus "17-shiki" Version! The audio has been encoded as DTS Headphone:XR, which allows you to enjoy cinema style surround sound on any headphones you have on hand! 

★The original browser game, a navy raising simulator aimed at adults, has hit five years of service. In Kantai Collection -KanColle-, you raise and strengthen a diverse range of fleet girls - kanmusu - who are personifications of actual historical military vessels, and build your very own powerful fleet. In 2015, the franchise saw a TV anime series that aired on eighteen networks around Japan. Ever since the original service started, this franchise has amassed support from diverse crowds - original players, known as "admirals," as well as fans of warships and fans of the military - and has been mentioned online, in magazines, and even on the news. And then, in 2016, the franchise set its compass for the silver screen - and a new operation began. 

The protagonist of this movie, as well as the TV anime series, is special class destroyer Fubuki. It follows her and the other trained kanmusu into a new battle against their mysterious foes, the Abyssals. Watch as the girls grow even more.

≪Story≫
Mysterious enemies called Abyssals infest the oceans, and the only ones who can stand up to this menace are the kanmusu, who bear the the souls of military vessels from the olden days. Both sides clashed in Operation MI, a life-or-death battle for the naval base that the kanmusu call home. Thanks in part to the actions of Special-Type Destroyer Fubuki, the kanmusu came out victorious - but after that fierce battle, their conflicts only become more and more severe.

With the success of Operation MI giving them a foothold, their naval base now has the power to advance into the southern oceans. As they continue to capture enemy territory, the battlefield begins to grow in scale. With their forces gathered at a new base on the front-lines, the kanmusu are ready for the next operation. They have matured through battle, and with their recent gains in power and successful operations their spirits are high - but then they discover that an immense disaster is brewing in the area of ocean in their sights.
