5th Anniversary Special Program Official Report

The special program, held in celebration of the five years since Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 premiered on October 3, 2020, opened with a perfectly in-sync title call from the three guest voice actors.

Soon after, the first piece of commemorative artwork that was revealed when this program was first announced—Jujutsu Kaisen 5th Anniversary Visual #1, specially created by animation studio MAPPA—appeared on the monitor. The cast lit up with excitement, praising the visual as both wonderful and fun.

Next came a segment looking back on the past five years of Jujutsu Kaisen. A timeline packed with the series' history was shown on screen, sparking plenty of memories. Enoki described the whirlwind pace of recent years, saying, "The pace has been incredible." Uchida expressed surprise that four years has already passed since the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie was released. Reflecting on the original manga’s final volume, released on December 25, 2024, Seto shared that she hadn’t read to the end until the official comic came out, making the experience of learning the conclusion all the more moving.

This look back also featured a playful segment: the "Special JuJu Quiz: 5th Anniversary ver.," with questions based on past events the cast had attended. The first question threw them all the way back to Jump Festa 2019, when Gojo Satoru’s voice actor Yuichi Nakamura had asked, “What is your favorite scene of your character?” The cast struggled to dig up their memories from six years ago.

Luckily, the cast was saved by a "JuJu Hint"—a surprise voice message from Yuichi Nakamura himself! In his message, Nakamura reflected on the past five years, saying, "These five years really flew by. I’ve had so many valuable and fun experiences, not just through the anime, but also with recording for games and participating in events."

The second quiz question jumped to the era of Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie. During its premiere stage greeting, the cast had been asked to guess what was to the event. Once again, they struggled to recall—but another "JuJu Hint" came to the rescue. This time, it was a voice message from Yuta Okkotsu’s actor, Megumi Ogata. In her message, she offered her warm thanks: "Congratulations on five years! I can’t believe it’s already been that long. Thank you so much for welcoming me when I joined partway through. I’m looking forward to your continued support."

Footage was shown of the time Enoki made a surprise appearance at a special thank-you stage greeting celebrating the box office success of Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie. Looking back, he laughed as he recalled how the audience was so shocked by his sudden entrance that they froze in surprise.

The final quiz question looked back on Junichi Suwabe’s appearance at Jump Festa 2023, where the voice of Ryomen Sukuna chose a four-character phrase to describe his most memorable scene from Season 2. Once again, the three guests were completely stumped. Their saving grace came in the form of another “JuJu Hint”—this time, a pre-recorded message from Suwabe himself—which allowed them to finally crack the answer.

In his message, Suwabe also shared a comment that raised anticipation for what’s to come: "Thank you so much for supporting Jujutsu Kaisen all the way to its fifth anniversary. I hope Sukuna gets to play a bigger role moving forward, and I’ll give everything I have to performing him, so I hope for your continued support."

Thanks to the hints, the trio managed to answer every question correctly. As a reward, they were presented with a special cake decorated with the 5th anniversary visual!

Next came the highly anticipated “Five Reveals for Five Years” segment. The announcements included a January 2026 premiere for Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1, along with news of a brand-new film, Jujutsu Kaisen: Shibuya Incident Arc Recap × The Culling Game Advance Screening, which will open in theaters on November 7, 2025.

A teaser video and promotional artwork were also unveiled, setting the stage for what’s ahead. Speaking about The Culling Game, Uchida commented, “The story picks up right after the Shibuya Incident Arc, so there’s this fresh sense of tension in the studio. I think we’re creating something really incredible.”

Seto added, “Even more characters get involved, and the battle style shifts from what we’ve seen so far. I’m really excited to see how that plays out in the anime.”

Enoki shared his own enthusiasm, building hype for the upcoming movie: “I’m giving it everything I’ve got in the recording studio. The fight scenes with Itadori and Okkotsu are phenomenal, so I hope everyone looks forward to experiencing them on the big screen.”

They also revealed plans for an upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen Animation Exhibit, where fans will be able to fully immerse themselves in the TV anime arcs Hidden Inventory / Premature Death and Shibuya Incident.

In addition, announcements included new content for the smartphone game Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade, the original story Cursed Prison Island Arc, along with a reveal of the opening theme video, plus details about the upcoming Juju Fest, and more. It was a massive wave of news, all part of the celebration for the anime’s 5th anniversary!

After revisiting the past five years and unveiling the five major announcements, the jam-packed program came to an all-too-quick close. Enoki reflected on the experience, saying, “Whenever the three of us get together, the energy from the old days just comes rushing back.” His words perfectly captured the journey and growth of the past five years.

The cast each left a final message for the fans:

Enoki: In some ways, these five years have flown by, but all the experiences along the way have made the time feel really full, too. We’re still going strong, so I hope you’ll keep your excitement for Jujutsu Kaisen building toward January!

Uchida: These past five years have been so much fun, making Jujutsu Kaisen together with all of you. I really hope you continue to enjoy everything the series has to offer.

Seto: I’m so happy I got the chance to be part of this 5th anniversary special. Jujutsu Kaisen isn’t slowing down, so please keep supporting us!
